My Philosophy.

“A happy life is not built on the goal of perfection, but balance.”

I believe we as humans thrive when we are in balance. I don’t believe in diets or quick fixes, because there is no ‘one-size-fit-all’ when it comes to health. We are all unique individuals and therefore, what works for one person may not necessarily work for the next.

I believe food is nourishment, and eating for health and longevity. Food has the power to energise us, heal us and allow us to thrive! Which is why I always use a real, wholefoods approach to health and nutrition. There is no need to over-complicate health with fancy supplements and pills. Real, wholesome foods are truly the most powerful & impactful factor in health. This is why I believe in the power of quality wholefoods, knowing exactly where your food comes from and supporting local farmers whenever possible.

You’ll never find me prescribing a diet, because I don’t believe in cutting out entire food groups. No food is ‘bad’ or should be ‘off limits’ – this approach only promotes a broken and damaging relationship with food long-term. With my approach, all foods can be enjoyed in moderation and balance – yes, including chocolate and donuts! Because it’s not what we eat ‘sometimes’; it’s what we eat ‘most’ of the time that makes the biggest difference. And after all, food is there to be enjoyed; not feared!

I approach health from a holistic perspective; considering the mind, body and spirit. Each is just as important as the other in overall health and well-being. Which is why I believe in moving your body in ways that you love and enjoy and that make you feel energised and healthy. Exercise is a celebration of what your body can do; not a punishment for something you ate. But also, a rested body is a healthy body, so like with nutrition; balance is key. Your body needs rest, sleep and prioritising self-care is essential in overall health. We need time in nature, time away from technology and time nurturing our relationships and connections with loved ones.

Health is multi-dimensional and when you work with me, you can be assured each aspect of your health and well-being will be considered, explored and nurtured. Your program will be individualised; designed specifically for you, your needs and your unique goals – because there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’.

My approach involves balance in all aspects of life. It works towards creating a healthy, enjoyable, maintainable and sustainable way of living that you can continue forever. No more ‘yo-yo’ dieting, no more fads or diet trends. Only a way of eating, moving your body and living your daily life that makes you feel energised, happy, fulfilled and healthy!
