No-tella Bliss Balls

These bliss balls honestly take me back to the days where my breakfast was Nutella on toast (or more like Nutella with a side of toast because of how thick I would spread it…). But they are 100% guilt-free because they are made with real, wholesome ingredients. They are also:

  • Dairy-free

  • Gluten-free

  • Refined sugar free

  • Raw

  • Vegan

Ingredients (makes 10)

  • 1/4 cup hazelnuts + 10 for centres

  • 50 grams almond meal

  • 2 tbsp almond butter or hazelnut butter

  • 12 pitted dates, soaked in hot water for 20 minutes

  • 2 tbsp cacao powder

  • 1 serving Happy Way Vegan Chocolate Protein Powder

  • 2 tbsp Rice Malt Syrup

  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted

  • Cacao nibs for rolling the balls in

Method

  1. Add the hazelnuts to a blender and blitz until crushed but not too fine (you still want there to be some chunks).

  2. Then add remaining ingredients and blend until well combined.

  3. Roll mixture into 10 balls, placing a hazelnut in the centre of each.

  4. Spread cacao nibs onto a flat board or plate and roll the balls in the cacao nibs to coat.

  5. Place in the freezer to set for 30-60 minutes.

  6. Enjoy!

Storing: These will keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
