Sunflower & Chia Snack Bars
Probably one of the easiest snack bar recipes you’ll ever make!
I’ve been trying to add as much nutrients to my meals and snacks as possible, and one super easy way to do this is to simply add more nuts and seeds to your meals because these babies are LOADED with so many vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
So these snack bars are loaded with these nutrient powerhouses, making for a super nutrient-dense and delicious snack!
Sunflower & Chia Snack Bars
Serves: 12 bars
Ingredients
1 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup chia seeds
1/3 cup coconut sugar
1/2 tbsp pure maple syrup
Dash of cinnamon
1/2 cup water
Method
Preheat the oven to 180C, fan-forced.
Add all the ingredients to a bowl and mix well. Leave for 15 minutes to thicken.
Pour mixture into a lined baking pan, spread out no more than 1cm thick and place in the oven for 55 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before cutting.
