Cherry Ripe Smoothie Bowl

Cherries to me are such a Christmas-y fruit! They are always in season around Christmas time and I think it is just their bright red colour that screams Christmas to me.

So this ‘Cherry Ripe Smoothie Bowl’ is like Christmas in Smoothie Bowl form! Perfect to get you in the festive spirit but also perfect all year round.

And if you, like me, grew up eating Cherry Ripe Chocolate Bars, this smoothie will be a familiar taste! It was actually those chocolate bars that inspired this recipe! Fruity cherry flavour, with the sweet hit of dark chocolate and subtle coconut flavour – it is just delicious!

Cherry Ripe Smoothie Bowl

  • Servings: 1

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen pitted cherries
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 serve chocolate protein powder
  • 1 heaped tbsp coconut yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 large handful of ice
  • Optional: 1/2 zucchini (fresh or frozen)

Add everything to a blender and blend until smooth. Transfer into a bowl and add your toppings and then dig in!
